Founding Corporate Partner
In October 2005, Bell Canada was the first corporate partner of the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC) to announce its support of the Own the Podium 2010 initiative.
Bell's long standing commitment to Canada's amateur athletes, coupled with its corporate focus on leading edge technology and innovations in performance excellence, make it the ideal Founding Corporate Partner of the Own the Podium 2010 initiative.
Bell's investment of $15 million is the largest contribution of any VANOC corporate partner to the Own the Podium 2010 initiative. Bell's contribution will be directed to supporting OTP's Top Secret program, which is a research and development project designed to provide Canada's winter athletes with the best equipment, technology, and knowledge giving them a unique competitive edge in 2010.
